David A. Berins is one of the hotel industry's best known and highly regarded consultants. His personal experience encompasses forty-four years in the hospitality industry including ten years of operations management and as an executive of hotel management companies, development companies and investment funds and thirty-four years as a consultant.
He is the former worldwide partner in charge of lodging industry consulting services for Arthur Andersen, a former senior executive in one of the largest lodging opportunity funds in the world, and former head of the U.S. practice of a global hotel consulting firm.
Debbi Berins is a former lead designer for Index, a firm specializing in hotel and restaurant design, a principal in the firm Wayman & Company where she applied her skills to high end custom residences while continuing to consult on lodging and restaurant projects, the former Director of Interior Design for Cornerstone Architects, and the owner of ADvisions, a design consulting practice specializing in advising design teams on architectural and specifications.
Berins & Co., LLC is more than two individuals, however. Because of his longstanding role as a leader of large consulting practices and as a past Chairman of the International Society of Hospitality Consultants, David Berins is able to assemble highly-skilled teams of associates with a broad range of expertise.
These associates are brought into assignments as dictated by the clients' needs and include experts in marketing, labor cost and productivity, human resources & training, investment banking, law, architecture & design, project management and transactions.
